What does the vetting process look like for builders?

Squadron is an exclusive invite-only community made of the world’s best product builders. We have a 5-step vetting process, which includes an application review, case study + skill assessment, cultural add interview and mission specific vetting. This is followed by ongoing excellence to enable our builders to continue to grow. To ensure a fair and transparent process, functional area specialists (i.e. engineers reviewing code, PMs reviewing roadmaps, etc.) within our community are brought in to uphold a heightened quality level.

How long does it take to see the first squad matches?

It usually takes us 3-4 business days to propose your first tailor-fit world class squad.

What are the contracts that I will sign?

As a start, you will sign a direct contract with Squadron. This is to govern your relationship with the platform and the services we provide. As Squadron is the facilitation engine that enables innovation, we are not an employer of squads. Therefore, you will also sign direct contracts with each individual squad member (covering confidentiality clauses, IP, etc.)

How does billing work?

Individual working hours are tracked on our platform. At the end of the month, we provide a unified invoice for your squad and detail out contributions made by each member.

What if I want to bring the squad in-house?

We love when our clients decide to hire their squad outright! We help make the transition easy for everyone and as a parting gift, we implement a contract-to-hire placement fee (~20% of a squadmate's first year salary).

Can I work on a project part-time?

Absolutely! Our goal is to provide our members with the autonomy and flexibility to choose the amount of hours they want to work. If you’re looking for full-time hours or rather a side-hustle to supplement your primary source of income, you have come to the right place.

What is the average length of projects?

Every project is different however the average length is 8 months. The shortest of projects start from 2-3 months and can run indefinitely.

How does billing work?

Payment cycles run monthly with invoices automatically generated in the Squadron system. All that’s required of you is to log the hours you have worked over the period along with your banking details and we’ll facilitate the payment.
